The two most common ways to get involved with Kidz 1stNetwork are through Parent Involvement and Volunteering.
Parent Involvement can include a variety of vital and exciting activities. If you are familiar with our Centre, please talk to your Program Facilitator to find out how you can become involved and share your ideas. We would love to talk to you about opportunities!
Volunteering opportunities are varied and usually adaptable to your interests and skills. Click on the Volunteers and Resources tab to learn how you can volunteer.
Parental Involvement and Volunteering are ways for you and for us to develop family and community partnerships. Such partnerships are crucial in helping all of us, but especially youngsters succeed in life!

Kidz 1st Network Parent Link Centre

Connecting parents to resources in their communities
Alberta Children’s Services continues to lead the way in giving parents flexibility to choose the early childhood development and child care services that meet the specific needs of their children.
A Parent Link Centre provides parents, caregivers and their children with supports to ensure that children come to school ready to learn and ensure that parents have the supports needed to help their children develop and fulfill their potential. Parents will be able to access information about community services, obtain referrals, and meet other parents, children, and families, while taking part in quality early learning activities.
Every centre is uniquely designed to meet the needs of families living in each community. All offer:
- Parent Education Programs
- Programs for young children to learn and play
- Family support services such as nutrition programs, support groups, clothing exchange
- Information and referrals to other parenting support and child development programs in your
community
- Developmental Screening
We are the Parent Link Centre for South East Rocky View.
